Intervenant: Jean-François Delavison, président de Bioforce (école de management humanitaire) et président d'Ahimsa partners.


Jean-François worked on the international level for Institut Mérieux for 29 years, and held several international positions. He took part in the international development of the group, in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Since January 2004, he has been the Corporate Vice President of the Holding Company, Institut Mérieux in charge of Global Health and International Affairs. He decided, last January to launch his own company Ahimsa Partners. Through innovative models and the engagement of new leader generations, Ahimsa Partners will empower the people in the developing world to allow them to participate in their own development, the one of their countries, using healthcare partnerships and bringing the different actors in the field of Healthwith the challenge to bridge the world.


During the last five years, he has been President of the European Diagnostics Manufacturers Association (EDMA,) the European organization representing the In Vitro Diagnostics industry in the major countries of Europe.

At the same date, Jean-François joined the Stop TB Partnership as Board Member, representing the Private Sector. He has recently been elected member of the Executive Committee of the Partnership. This initiative, hosted by the World Health organization comprises a network of more than 500 international organizations, countries, donors from the public and private sectors, and nongovernmental and governmental organizations.He is member of the International Committee of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences. He recently joined the WHO/TDR Expert Committee on Diagnostics for developing countries.


Since June, 2008, he has been President of Bioforce Institute: a Human Resources Management organization working with NGOs on humanitarian actions.He is involved in many different projects with some famous international Business Schools on the approach of working with the "bottom of the worldwide pyramid population" and "social business". http://www.bioforce.asso.fr/
